The Perl Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of the Perl programming language through open discussion, collaboration, design, and code. I am a member of the TPF steering committee and I help with various YAPC issues.
Perl Mongers is the world wide organization of Perl users.
I am an active member of the Boston chapter of Perl Mongers. We hold monthly technical meetings where we teach/learn/discuss things Perlish as well as have social gatherings on a random schedule. Our technical meetings are held at boston.com's offices and usually attract 20-30 attendees. I have given several talks at our meetings, some of which were practices before giving the same talk at a conference.
